Our monthly Court In Session: Windsor Guitar Night continues.  This month featuring Billy Watman, Leo Aram-Downs and Chris Woods.

Billy Watman

Billy is an award winning 18 year old Anglo-Brazilian classical & fingerstyle instrumental guitarist. Currently based in London, he is studying classical guitar performance at the Royal College of Music. In 2016, aged just 14, he reached the grand final of ‘Guitar Star’ – a guitar based talent show for Sky Arts TV, broadcast all over Europe, Australia and South America. Equally at ease on both steel and nylon strings, and refusing to be ‘pigeon-holed’ into a specific style, Billy’s live show offers a mesmerizing, genre defying journey through music, with repertoire spanning Classical, Flamenco and Pop, through to Electronic Trance and Classic Rock – all on one guitar.

Leo Aram-Downs

Raised in London and living in Brighton, Leo Aram-Downs is a 23-year-old singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. His musical career began at the age of 10, when he first started writing music. At the age of 16, he won a place at The BRIT School For
Performing Arts & Technology. Whilst attending BRIT he developed new ways of playing, performing and writing, and by the time he graduated he had a much-expanded group of compositions under his belt. Since then he has graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London and plays regular gigs all over the UK and Europe both as a solo act, and as an in-demand session player. Leo is currently working on the "Year of
Everything" a musical project that involves releasing a new song every week of 2019.

Chris Woods

Chris Woods, recording as ‘The Chris Woods Groove Orchestra’ is a guitar explorer. His solo show is a one man orchestral adventure of epic proportions. Taking you on a journey from minimalist solo guitar to looped cinematic sounds and explosive six-string percussive explorations. Headliner magazine described a recent performance at Peter
Gabriel’s Real World Studios: ‘tremendous – to say Chris Woods feels this music is a wild understatement, and it’s a genuine privilege to witness’. When Google book an artist for their event, someone PlayMusicMag described as ‘changing the perceived boundaries of the acoustic guitar’, you know you aren’t coming to see your
average musician.
