Windsor Guitar Night: Sam Lunn, Jon S. Hart & Michael Watts

Following on from our sublime first Windsor Guitar Night, our second night will feature Sam Lunn, Jon Hart & Michael Watts.

Sam Lunn

Originally hailing from Helmsley in North Yorkshire, Sam has been writing acoustically for the past 5 years. Taking influence from the likes of Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley, he blends together a unique style of folk and progressive-rock that is hard not to be drawn into. Mostly playing solo, but has been known to appear with strings and percussion - and has even taken to the stage accompanied by Jack Casady of "Hot Tuna” and “Jefferson Airplane.” Sam is now writing with an eye to recording at his home in Northamptonshire.

Jon S. Hart

Labelled by Acoustic Magazine as The Next Big Thing Jon S. Hart is a fingerstyle singer-songwriter based in the UK. His debut album Reborn (co-produced by Chris Woods Groove) and three EPs Defuse Sticks & Stones and Momento (the latter produced by Declan Zapala have received huge critical acclaim from all angles of the acoustic guitar world. Touring throughout the UK and parts of Europe, he has appeared at, among others, the Isle of Wight Festival, London Acoustic Guitar Show, The Turner Sims Concert Hall and Ullapool Guitar Festival where he co-headlined with fingerstyle legend Preston Reed. His unique arrangements oMoney and The Chain were featured on the prestigious CandyRat Records racking up tens of thousands of views.

Michael Watts

Michael Watts is a guitarist based in London and a previous winner of the Guitarist Magazine Acoustic Guitarist of the Year award. He has shared a bill with some of the greatest musicians in the world and is known for his onstage charisma, exquisite touch and the depth of feel and colour in his playing and writing.

An acknowledged expert in the field of the luthier-built guitar, Michael is regularly invited to give lectures and masterclasses and demonstrate the work to the world's greatest guitar builders at festivals around the world. Michael writes, records, and performs instrumental music for solo steel-string acoustic guitar.
