Comedy Night with Danny Buckler

Our regular comedy night returns!  Danny Buckler is away this month so Stuart Laws will be your host for the evening. 
Stuart Laws performs sketch comedy and stand-up comedy and has performed all over the UK for clubs such as Mirth Control, CKP and Crack Comedy. Stuart regularly MCs for Laugh Out London and Comedy Knights, has performed at Latitude, Wildnerness, Green Man & Machynlleth Festivals and has supported James Acaster on his UK tours. Stuart has appeared on and written for Radio 4, has two specials on NextUp Comedy and has written a play “The Journey” that debuted at The Edinburgh Fringe at The Pleasance in 2018. 
This month Stuart will be welcoming Nick Dixon, Alex Kealy and Juliet Meyers.

Nick Dixon - Nick is a comedian who has been incredibly popular in recent series of the iconic ‘Comedy Central at the Comedy Store’

He has also recently completed writing for a new Disney film starring Will Smith after being picked up from a YouTube video – which can be seen here:

You may have seen Nick doing what he does best, bringing the LOLs with his original yet relatable stand-up at comedy clubs throughout the UK.

He has also had great shows over in LA, at esteemed clubs such as The Ice House and the world-famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood.

Nick is building a dedicated live following with his exciting, unique, and above all hilarious performances at clubs around the country. It can only be a matter of time before the TV types wake up and he becomes a household name.

Alex Kealy is a stand-up comedian who mixes political material with self-deprecation and relatable observations. He reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You're Funny ​competition in his first year of performing and is now a "rising star of the British stand-up scene" The List.

He has taken four hours of stand-up to the Edinburgh Fringe, the latest being Rationale, which made The Guardian's Top 10 Jokes Of The Edinburgh Fringe 2019.

Other work includes writing for BBC Two's Mock The Week​.

Juliet Meyers is a hugely popular act on the comedy circuit – with 15 years experience she is a natural on the stage - Managing to mix silliness with edginess she has been bringing her own brand of hilarious, cerebral, observational, gag–driven comedy to the stage to great acclaim.

Juliet writes for “8 out of 10 Cats” and the ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme” – she is currently working on some radio plays hopefully to be produced in the new year.
