This month our Court In Session: Windsor Guitar Night features Elliott Morris, Will McNichol and Dan Burne.
Singer-songwriter and guitarist Elliott Morris mixes traditional and original folk and roots material, influenced by rock, pop, blues, country and jazz. Favouring open tunings, his extended techniques include percussive hits, string tapping, and occasionally slide.
Maverick Magazine called Elliott ‘The new face of folk” and BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson described him as “absurdly talented”. Music blog WriteWyattUK proclaimed thatElliott Morris “redefines folk…with a little John Martyn influence delivered in Seth Lakeman style”. A prestigious ‘Danny Kyle Award Winner’ from Celtic Connections, Elliott releases his new album in June 2019.
